Mountain Home Road is served by the Portola Valley School District—which includes Ormondale School and Corte Madera School—and also Woodside Elementary School and Woodside High School. The Portola Valley schools score very well on the API, averaging in the mid-900s. Woodside Elementary scores in the 900s, but scores drop off at Woodside high, due a far great mix of students. Top tier students still go on to attend prestigious Universities including Stanford, UC Berkeley, other UC campuses and the Ivies. High School alternatives include Summit Prep which is a small public charter high school dedicated to sending its economically diverse students to top ranked Universities. Some families opt to send their children to local private schools including the Woodside Priory in Portola Valley, Sacred Heart Prep in Atherton, Menlo School in Atherton CA, and Notre Dame High School in Belmont CA, Junipero Serra High School in San Mateo, and the Crystal Springs Upland School in Hillsborough CA.
