Given Midtown, Palo Alto’s size, the neighborhood is served by many different elementary schools, including El Carmelo, Fairmeadow, Hoover, Ohlone and Palo Verde Elementary Schools. These, along with J.L. Stanford Middle School, are part of Palo Alto Unified School District (PAUSD), which has outstanding scores on the API. Also, PAUSD schools are required to submit an accountability report to the community, which can easily be viewed online. Parents can also opt to send children to the private Keys School, or Challenger school. High School students attend either Gunn or Palo Alto High School.
