St. Francis Acres is served by Almond Elementary School and Egan Junior High School. As part of the Los Altos School District, these schools perform very well on the API, upwards of mid- to upper-900s. However, the high school—Los Altos High School—scores around 820.. As part of the Mountain View-Los Altos Union High School District, which draws from many neighborhoods with lower scoring elementary schools, Los Altos High School’s API scores suffer on average. Nonetheless, top-performing students often go on to prestigious colleges, including the nearby Stanford University and University of California Schools.
