Old Mountain View is a community that grows along with, but remains distinct from the bustling hotspot that is Castro Street. Old Mountain View is served by the Mountain View-Whisman School District, which includes Landels Elementary School and Graham Middle School and the Mountain View-Los Altos Union high School District, where students attend Mountain View High School. These elementary schools tend to score just shy of the 900s on the API. Opportunities are afforded to top-tiered students, such as the Gifted and Talented Education program. Top tier graduates of Mountain View High School go on to attend top national Universities including Stanford University and The University of California.
