Of the three elementary schools, Huff scores the highest on the API—in the mid 900s—while Monta Loma scores in the very high 700’s. Landels falls in the middle of the two, at around 820 and climbing on the API. Crittenden scores hover in the low to mid 700’s, while Mountain View High scores about 822. However, students that perform well at the elementary and middle school levels tend to continue to perform well in high school, regardless of API scores. Top tier students go on to attend prestigious national universities including UC Campuses, Stanford University and Ivy league schools. Alternately, parents can opt to send their children to the private German International School of Silicon Valley, or to the nearby Girl’s Middle School, a private school located on Rengstroff Ave serving grades six through eight, and dedicated to developing young women as tomorrow’s leaders and tech entrepreneurs. Some families opt to send their children to the highly rated St. Francis High School in Mountain View.
