West of Alameda —Stunning homes and natural wildlife
The attractive landscaping in the West of Alameda neighborhood of Atherton is the greater handiwork of mother nature, rather than manmade. Residents on horseback, mountain lions and the sounds of coyotes and owls in the night were once common phenomena in West of Alameda. Today, mature oaks and an occasional bobcat in one of the neighborhoods stretch of fields serve as reminders of the community’s closeness to nature. Residents of the West of Alameda neighborhood enjoy the seclusion their comparatively rugged surroundings give them, but are also conveniently located in proximity to downtown Menlo Park and Palo Alto.
