Lloyden Park Neighborhood —A quaint, friendly neighborhood that retains its mid-century character
Not much has changed since 1940 in the Lloyden Park neighborhood of Atherton, CA. Many of the original homes remain standing and the neighbors are perennially welcoming and friendly, making Lloyden Park an excellent place to begin a family.

The Atherton Rail Committee also meets once a month to discuss issues concerning the Caltrain tracks that run next to Lloyden Park. Although 96 trains run past Lloyden Park everyday, the train only stops in Atherton on weekends. Members of the committee have been courting efforts to restore daily service and replace the diesel-powered trains with electric trains.
Lloyden Park Neighborhood School Information
Most of the residents in Lloyden Park send their children to private schools in Atherton, including Menlo School, Sacred Heart Preparatory and St. Joseph Elementary School and Phillips Brooks School. This is due to the oddity of Lloyden Park falling within the Redwood City School District, which has both excellent and poorly scoring schools, unlike other areas of Atherton served by Menlo Park schools. Public schools serving Lloyden Park include Selby Lane School, and Kennedy Middle School, both in the Redwood City School District. All students attend Menlo-Atherton High School, which was ranked as one of the top 100 public high schools in the United States by Newsweek magazine.
